con artist: con是confidence的缩写，confidence artist或者confidence man指的就是诈骗犯。
scam: 和con一样，都表示骗局，诈骗的意思。另外还可以说：swindle, grift, bunko 或者flim flam
sweet-talk someone into: 甜言蜜语，连哄带骗说服某人

mark: 容易被骗的人，通常是一个骗局里的初级目标，骗子就靠他来接近终极目标。

sap: 俚语傻瓜的意思。或许有同学会知道，SAP是一个软件公司的名字，名气还挺大，我第一次知道SAP有“傻瓜“的含义，还是他们公司的员工自己调侃的时候告诉我的。

Blair: I knew you would come to your senses.

Blair: She thinks Gabriel took the fall. All she's worried about right now is party invitations and keeping a front row seat at Bryant park.

take the fall: to get arrested for a particular crime, especially when others are going unpunished for the same crime. 做别人的替罪羊
Bryant park: 纽约的布莱恩公园，是每年纽约时装周的举行地。这里意思就是说Poppy现在最关心的是她能否被社交圈接受，还有没有可能拿到时装秀的前排位置。

8. Dan: Serena, what are you doing?
Serena: Uh, I'm in the elevator. I'm losing you. Sorry.

I'm losing you: 这句话超实用的，表示“信号不好(比如在电梯里)，我听不清楚你说什么”或者是“要断线了”类似的意思。

9. Nate: No, no, no. Look, you had your shot, and you blew it. So why start toying with her again? I mean, if you want her, then man up and tell her. Otherwise you gotta cut her loose. You gotta cut her loose, and you gotta do it for real this time, man, because I want her.

shot: 机会。试一下，英文就是give a shot, 相当于give a try.

Georgina: Really? That would be amazing. I... I can't wait to help the children. Um, let me just call the bank to set up a wire transfer.
Poppy: Oh, um, I'm sorry. Just because of the time crunch, I'm afraid I'm only gonna be able to accept cash.

get you in: 让你入伙，让你加入。get in这种词组，看英文很容易理解中文意思，但是真的要等我们用英文表达出这个中文意思的时候，却常常会“卡壳”，所以建议大家平时多留意一下这类小词。

time crunch: 时间紧急，crunch可以表示emergency
