Sharp said it plans to release the world's first humanoid phone in Japan on May 26, and started accepting preorders for it on April 14.

The robot phone, called "RoBoHon", with a 2-inch screen fitted into its back, stands 19.5 centimeters tall, weighs 390 grams and carries a price tag of 198,000 yen. It is more than double the price of a high-end iPhone.
这款名为RoBoHon的机器人电话高19.5厘米、重390克，机身背部搭载2英寸的显示屏，标价为19.8万日元，是高配置iPhone价格的两倍还多。

In addition to handling calls and text messages, RoBoHon can serve as an alarm clock. The robot can walk on its two legs and will even talk back to its owner, although the extent of its vocabulary and ability to communicate is limited.
除了处理电话、短信，RoBoHon还可以当闹铃。这款小机器人可以用两条腿走路，甚至可以和主人进行交流，虽然它的词汇量和沟通能力的程度目前还是有限的。
The conversation functions works through a cloud service and that costs an extra 980 yen (US$9) per month.

Sharp hopes to sell about 5,000 of the RoBoHon each month.
