Its author found women use lies in a broad range of areas as a means to an end. 75% of women say have to lie in the workplace to sustain their positions. 60% admit to an addiction secret. 50% have mixed emotions about mothering.

I think it's both, Merida, it's partly the culture, really almost encouraging women to make a secret of anything that isn't what they're supposed to do, perhaps, an addiction, women lie about money, and then nurturing while our mothers have often taught us how to lie compassionately, you don't tell your friend she doesn't look good in a dress, you don't tell your husband you don't like the necklace he brought home.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi for high-level talks seeking to push Moscow to fully implement the shaky Ukraine ceasefire deal.
Kerry is set to hold talks with both the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin. They are likely to talk about the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, nuclear talks with Iran, as well as the conflict in Syria. The US State Department said that Kerry's trip is part of Washington's effort to maintain direct lines of communication with senior Russian officials, as well as to ensure that American views are clearly understood. Kerry will later fly to Antalya in Turkey for Wednesday's meeting with NATO foreign ministers.

American science fiction film "Tomorrowland" is to hit the big screen in the US. The film is directed by Brad Bird and stars George Clooney and Britt Richardson. With Oscars for acting and producing, as well as nominations for writing and directing, Clooney seems to have done pretty much everything Hollywood can offer. But this time he wants something different.
Director Brad Bird was looking for a George Clooney type, thinking he'd never land the two-time Oscar winner to star in his big-budget science fiction action film,
"Tomorrowland". But Bird sent over the script anyway.
"When Damon Lindelof and I, who wrote the film together and produced it together, were first talking on a writing level about the character of Frank, we kept referring to him as, 'a George Clooney type,' never imagining that we would be able to get George interested," Bird said.
"The minute I opened it and read it, I went, 'Wow!' I'm really not looking to do big, big action films, because now I'm the guy who gets punched instead of the guy who punches.
But I love what the movie was saying and I loved the way he (Bird) was going to say it, and I thought, 'He's made only good films, Brad.' I thought, 'Why not?'" Clooney said.
The film spins around two characters: a positive-thinking young technical whiz (Britt Robertson) and a veteran inventor (Clooney), with one important tie that binds. They've both been invited to the futuristic Tomorrowland.
At one point they end up in the bathtub, to escape some creepy Tomorrowland henchmen.
"And it was really funny. It was uncomfortable and silly, and I think it worked for the movie. But everyone is very jealous that I got to be in a tub with George," said actress Britt Robertson.
As two-Oscar winner, Clooney begs to differ.
"You don't want to do the same genre. As long as you're mixing it up and doing new things, and that's hard to do. 'Gravity' was something completely different, and not particularly comfortable to do -- though we knew it would be great. So, you have to keep moving forward and doing things. But, you know, it's all fun. It's all good fun," Clooney said.
"Tomorrowland" is set to open in US cinemas May 22nd.
