Jackie Chan officially becomes a Guinness World Record holder. The actor now has two spots in the record books for "Most Stunts by a Living Actor" and "Most Credits in One Movie". While accepting the awards in Shanghai, the action star said he did not expect to break any records for his work.

Jackie Chan, actor, saying (Mandarin): "Actually, when I made this film, I never thought about winning a Guinness Record. I never thought about it. I did fifteen different roles. In November Chan said his latest film "Zodiac" will be his last major action flick, and not to mention, his best film in 10 years, upping the anticipation for the movie's release.

The isolated and impoverished country announced on Saturday that it planned to launch a rocket some time in the next three weeks, despite a U.N. ban on such activities.

In an effort to ease tensions, South Korea hosted a meeting on Monday with representatives from the U.S., Japan, China and Russia.

North Korea failed to launch a similar rocket in April on the 100th anniversary of the birth of the country's founder.

The US Senate has approved an amendment that reaffirms the US commitment to Japan in its territorial dispute with China over the Diaoyu Islands.

The measure was attached on Thursday to the National Defence Authorization Bill for Fiscal Year 2013 still being debated in the Senate. The amendment notes that while the US "takes no position" on the ultimate sovereignty of the territory, it acknowledges the administration of Japan over the Diaoyu Islands.

The measure still needs to be approved by the House of Representatives and signed by the president to take effect. Japanese media says that once the amendment is passed, the US, as an ally of Japan, can interfere or even use its military forces if conflicts occur between China and Japan over the Diaoyu Islands.
