All across

King E’s tomb.

These autumn days

The fields are desolate.

Stone animals

Stand tall,

Alone.

But lords and ministers

In their Southern exile

Drank and danced

Indifferent to the fate of their country.

How the North

Worshiped the Emperor’s flag,

Day and night!

The hero is dead:

Sighing won’t bring him back.

And the country collapsed.

Enough: this is the wrong place to sing this song.
