former a.以前的；在前面的 n.前者
[记]form-形成;-er人;形成一件事的人，是这件事的前者。
[另]其实这里面的词根不是form，而是for-，表示前(如before)。而-ar表形容词的时候是比较级，所以former就是更前面的，叫“在前面的”。
[注]很多词根在往词变化的时候，都会加上一个字母，比如这里的m。
[例]The experience from the former is not necessarily applicable to the latter.前考的经验不一定就适用于后者。

latter a.后面的 n.后者
[记]late-迟到;-ter人。迟到的人都是后来者，迟到要坐在后面。
[辨]later是“更迟的，稍后，后来”，因为它是late迟直接加er，所以是“更迟的”，它就是late的比较级;它的最高级叫做latest,意思是“最迟的，最近的”。latter是加上lat-后面再加上ter，所以已经人化了，叫“后者”。
[搭]sooner or later迟早（都是比较级）the former... while the latter（前者……而后者）
[例]Later,we chose the latter plan to perform the task.后来，我们选择了第二个方案来执行这个任务。

platform n.讲台；月台；平台
[记]扑赖(pla-)在他(t)身上抚摸(form)他。月台离别的场景。
[例]The first company for us should not be served as a place to eam money but a platform to accumulate knowledge．我们第—个公司不应该被认为是赚钱的地方，而是积累知识的平台。

transform v.改变；使变形
[记]trans-转；-form形式。形式转变了，叫变形。
[变]transformation n.转化;变形
[例]Above zero degree centigrade,the ice will transform into the water．冰在零摄氏度以上时会转化成水。

formula n.公式；准则；配方
[记]都是慢慢形成(form-)，才有了(-ula)公式。
[串]公式的两边是配方，公式是做题目的准则。
[变]formulate v.用公式表示；系统地说明；规划

uniform n.制服；军服 a.一致的；相同的
[记]uni-一，单(unit，单元）;form形式。大家都一个形式，穿上了制服，整齐划一。

[例]It doesn't matter whether a couple has uniform thoughts,but it matters a lot whether they can understand each other．情侣之间想法不一定要一样；能不能理解彼此的想法才最重要。
