Lesson 02 Dialogue Invitation to a Social Gathering

Don: Hi, you must be Jenny from the Beijing office. Please come in.

Jenny: Mr. Jones? It's nice to finally meet you. I will be working on your team for the next six months.

Don: Oh, just call me Don. How is your first week in New York treating you?

Jenny: I've been all tied up with catching up on the newly-assigned project.

I've fallen behind, but other than that, everything's going great.

Everyone in the office is friendly and nice, and they are all patient with me.

Don: That's great! By the way, we were wondering if you had plans for this Friday night.

We've been talking about this Japanese style bar that just opened a week ago, and we decided to check it out on Friday.

Jenny:I'd be delighted. Thank you.

Don: Great. I'll brief my crew and keep you posted if there are any changes.
