One day, I found a broken piece of one pot in the fire. The fire made the piece as hard as stone and it was very red too.

有一天，我在火里找到了一个罐子的碎片。火把碎片烤得像石头一般坚硬，而且很红。

This gave me a good idea. I took one pot and made a fire around the pot. The pot was very hard after a few hours. I was happy with the result.

这给了我一个好主意。我拿了一个罐子，在罐子周围点了火。过了几个小时，罐子变得很坚硬。我对这个结果很开心。

I thought, “I will also need a tool to make flour from seeds.” I took a big piece of hard wood for that. I made a hole in the wood. Then I took another piece of hard wood and I broke the seeds in this hole with the wood.

我想，“我还需要一个工具来把种子做成面粉。”我用了一大块硬木头来做。我在木头中间钻了一个洞。然后我又拿了另外一块硬木头，我用这块木头在洞里把种子捣碎。

The flour stayed on the bottom of the hole.

面粉就留在洞的底部。

I thought, “I will need something to bake bread.” I had an idea. I mixed the flour with water. Then I took two stones. I put the stones near the fire. When they were very hot, I put the bread between the stones. This was how I made my first bread on the island.

我想，“我还需要一个东西来烤面包。”我想到一个主意。我把水混到面粉中。然后我拿来两块石头。我把石头靠近火。当它们变得很烫时，我把面包放在石头中间。我就是这样做出了在岛上的第一个面包。

Notes:

1. be happy with sth.: 对某事感到开心，如果是“为某人感到开心”则用be happy for sb.。“对某人感到生气”用be angry with sb.，“对某事感到生气”则是be angry at sth.。

2. flour: 面粉，（谷物磨成的）粉。

3. bottom: 底部。

4. bake: 烤，烘焙，baker即“面包师”。
