On the sixth day, I felt safer. We took the boat close to the land. We saw a little river.

第六天，我觉得安全多了。我们乘船靠近陆地。我们看到了一条小河。

I didn’t know where we were. We had to stop somewhere because we needed fresh water.

我不知道我们在哪里。因为我们需要淡水,所以我们得找个地方停下来。

We waited for the dark. We wanted to go up the river where the water wasn’t mixed with the sea water. But we started to hear horrible noises. The boy didn’t want to continue. He was scared.

我们等着天黑。我们想去河的上游，那里的水没有和海水混在一起。但我们开始听到可怕的声音。那个男孩不想继续走了。他很害怕。

We stayed on the boat near the river. But we couldn’t sleep. Some animals came to wash in the water. They made horrible noises.

我们待在河边的船上。但是我们睡不着。一些动物来水里洗澡。它们发出可怕的声音。

Notes:

1.close to: 靠近，“近，不远”可以用close by。

2.fresh water: 淡水，形容词“淡水的”可以用freshwater。

3.continue: 继续，“继续做某事”可以用continue to do sth.。
