I was young and strong. I became a slave to the captain of the pirates. I felt very sad. Slaves had a horrible life. They had to work hard.

我年轻力壮。我成了海盗船长的奴隶。我感到非常难过。奴隶过着可怕的生活。他们必须努力工作。

I worked every day for many hours. I worked in the house or in the garden. The captain told me what to do.

我每天工作好几个小时。我在房子里或花园里工作。船长告诉我要做什么。

I didn't like the work. I wanted to change my situation. I wanted to be free again.

我不喜欢这份工作。我想改变我的处境。我想重新获得自由。

One day, I met a young woman in the house. She was so beautiful. She was also a slave. She cleaned the house.

Notes:

1.strong: 强壮的，名词形式是strength，意为“力量”。

2.slave: 奴隶，“受……控制；耽迷于”可以用be a slave to sth.。

3.work hard: 努力工作，“为某事很苦恼（或难受）”可以用take sth. hard。
