So Zen means we never separate our life and our practice.

禅的意思是生活与修行是密不可分的。

Zen is like 24 hours when you are standing, sitting, walking, lying down, so never separate.

一天内无论行住坐卧都可以修行，所以是不可分割的。

You know, our everyday life and our practice cannot separate, it's not two things.

我们的日常生活和修行不是脱离的，不是两件事情。

Zen also means inside, inside, you know, our mind, and outside objects, inside and outside both become one, that's Zen.

禅也意味着内在，也就是我们的思想，与外在事物，内在与外在合二为一。这就是禅。

So if you're not making that separation between Zen practice and everyday life, does that mean that when you do everything, when you sweep the floor or prepare food or clean something, that is an act of Zen itself?

这么说，如果不把生活和禅修区别开，是不是意味着做任何事，无论是扫地、做饭，还是搞卫生，都是在参禅？

Zen means what are you doing now, you know.

禅就是你正在做的事。

So somebody might get enlightenment while they are eating meal, washing bowl, all these were designed to help people be in the moment.

所以有些人可能在吃饭、洗碗时悟道。这些都会帮助人们当下开悟。

And maybe at that moment your mind becomes clear and your life becomes clear.

或许就在那一刻，你的思想变得清晰，而且人生也会变得清澈起来。
