Po, the unlikely "Kung Fu Panda" is not the only kung-fu student from the animal world. In the limelight this summer is the unsophisticated, yet upbeat piggy McDull. Being an underdog just like Po, how does McDull cope with his challenges?

The film is the fourth installment of the McDull movie series, which debuted in 2001 with the light-hearted film "My Life as McDull".

Unlike in previous films, McDull leaves his home in Hong Kong this summer for the Wudang Mountains on the mainland, where his mother wants him to learn Tai Chi. However McDull apparently finds more fun hanging out with his new friends. That is until he discovers a big secret which becomes his learning motive.

McDull was first created as a comic book character by Hong Kong cartoonist Alice Mak and her writer husband Brian Tse. Books depicting the life of the unwise yet honest piglet have made McDull a local phenomenon and spawned film, TV and music spin-offs.

自2001年的轻喜剧《麦兜故事》拉开帷幕以来，此番登场则是麦兜系列电影的第四部了。

这一本电影最大的不同便是，小猪麦兜今年暑假离开了他在香港的家，远赴大陆武当山，因为妈妈麦太想让他学太极。然而麦兜却同新朋友玩得不可开交。直到他发现了一个惊世秘密，从而成为他好好学习的动机。

麦兜最初是由香港漫画家麦家碧同其丈夫谢立文创造出的漫画角色。书中描述了一只笨笨的善良小猪麦兜的单纯生活，可爱的形象和深刻的隐喻引得了广泛的共鸣，随之而来便是电影、电视、音乐等一系列的衍生产品的推出。
