乔治与布丽的浪漫约会经常遭到意外的阻挠，由于心理上仍感觉雷克斯是她的丈夫，布丽经常在吻别时突发精神性喉头炎。为了转换心情，布丽主动邀请乔治外出度周末，但是午夜梦回时仍无法摆脱疑虑：自己这样做究竟是否正确。丽奈特惊慌地听到上司妮娜对她的过时打扮开玩笑，她立刻拉着汤姆冲向时装店，但是一件标价900美元的时装令汤姆抱怨不已，丽奈特决定穿这件衣服参加宴会，然后再退掉它。没想到妮娜扯掉了衣服的标签，丽奈特最终不得不买下了它。

索菲让苏珊试穿自己的结婚礼服，在一旁的迈克说他希望苏珊能自己挑选婚纱，这是他第一次提及结婚，这令苏珊惊喜万分。第二天，保罗-杨突然出现在紫藤道，苏珊和她的朋友们立刻报警，但是迈克却对警察的询问一问三不知。稍后迈克告诉苏珊，胡布太太的日记里说到她在伊蒂家纵火的事，他不能把日记当作证物交给警察。当保罗出现在门口询问扎克的下落，惊慌失措的苏珊脱口说出自己出钱将扎克送去了尤他州，路过的迈克听到此事异常愤怒，苏珊立刻追赶上去解释，但是迈克扔下一句“我们已经结束了”随即离开。伤心的苏珊穿着索菲的婚纱哭倒在街心。
