TASK1: If you need to choose a community activity to do, which one of the following three activities would you like to choose? Teaching kids classes, teaching adults how to use computers, and cleaning the community park. Give details to support your response.

  题目分析:近来此类三选一的题目有所增加,很多同学看到题目后将大部分准备答案的时间放在到底选择哪个选项上,其实从哪个角度都可以讲得通,原则在于你如何组织答案的结构,使其有主有次,论证清晰即可。剩下的就是发音,语调和语法词汇等英文能力的问题了,这里主要讨论逻辑从何下手。

  以下范文的结构是topic sentence+选choice 1的原因+为什么不选另外两个的原因,如果同学们说完这些内容没得可加却还有时间,可以再加上一句conclusion进行总结,但在我们有实质内容可讲的情况下,不建议用conclusion来填补时间。

  Well, if I have a choice among those three activities, I will certainly choose to teach some kids.

  This is all because of my personal experience as a childcare assistant all these years. Currently I am doing my university degree in childcare, and have been helping in a childcare center in the past 3 years, where I get plenty of professional knowledge and experience in teaching and taking care of kids. I really see tons of fun in it and it is definitely my dream job after graduation.

  As for the other two alternatives, I really don't think I'm competent to do those coz I'm myself bit dumb in computers and don't even know how to use those machines that I always see cleaners using, such as the leaf-blower. So it'll be difficult for me to get my hands on.

  TASK2: Some people prefer a job which deals with the same task everyday, while others prefer a job that deals with many different tasks. Which do you prefer and why?

  和task1一样,想把事情讲明白,得到一个比较不错的分数,45秒的时间内将答案控制在100-150字之间会是一个非常不错的选择,具体要取决于同学们表达的流利程度而定,无论如何,在保证逻辑清晰的基础上,节奏的控制要在自己可以把控得住的合理语速上,不要着急。

  我们首先要做的是开门见山表明自己观点,这里不应该是浪费时间的地方,而且也尽量不要有意思比较模糊的表达,很多同学想用辩证的方法去看待问题,从逻辑的角度讲是很好,但是45秒想用辩证的方法去真正说明白一个问题是几乎不可能的事情,因此,topic sentence简明扼要是第一原则。

  接下来我们就需要来解释why了,这里建议同学们使用两个points的方式来讲,会比较适合大多数同学,相对比较容易。因为只讲一点细节来支持,就需要就这一方面讲得非常细致,又不能表意重复,在15秒的准备时间内搞定是比较难的,而讲3个以上的points就有更多弊端存在,首先每个point没有时间进行细致的解释,其次大多数同学在15秒内是想不出3个points的,这样会无形间加大不必要的压力,因此我们使用topic sentence+detail1+details2的结构来回答问题。前面讲到topic sentence要简明扼要,detail的段落就是要表意和逻辑清晰,而且一定要扣题,不要说偏了,同时说到例子的时候一定注意表达要具体真实。和task1中的解释一样,conclusion部分可有可无,视时间而定。

  When it comes to choosing a job, I would say I definitely prefer one that requires me to deal with many different tasks every day, which is also what my current job is like.

  The most obvious reason is that only if you have the capability to cope with different tasks, you can solve unpredictable problems that many others cannot come up with a solution. And this is a necessary requirement for a successful leader, which I want to become one day in my career.

  On top of that, doing the same thing everyday will kill me coz it's gonna be very boring over time. Most of the time, I'm doing a job because I can learn from the challenges, and I believe this is the case for most young people. When the job becomes a routine, I think it'll be the time for me to change one.
