韦伯经典音乐剧《歌剧魅影》17日首次亮相北京。1986年《歌剧魅影》在伦敦西区首演，历经29年，姗姗来迟，终于来到了北京。

Twenty-nine years after its premiere in London, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera was staged in Beijing for the first time on Tuesday evening.

男主角“魅影”由布拉德·利特尔（Brad Little）扮演，今年是他扮演魅影的第19个年头，累计演出超过2000场，百老汇女星艾米莉·林恩（Emilie Lynn）扮演女主角“克莉丝汀”。

The cast is led by eminent veteran musical actor Brad Little, who joined the show's Broadway cast in 1996 as the Phantom and has played more than 2000 times. Emilie Lynn plays as Christine.

“迟来”的魅影北京首演迎来了大批观众，大获称赞，演出为全英文原版，但是贴心的剧组特为观众打上中文字幕，观看效果丝毫不受影响。观众表示，头一次在北京感受到了原汁原味的百老汇音乐剧，视觉盛宴看不够！

Beijing audiences quite enjoyed the show. "It's an international production. It's rare to see such an authentic New York Broadway opera here in Beijing, with world class performers singing classical pieces. I hope there will be more shows like this in Beijing", an audience member said. The musical was performed in English, but Chinese translations of the show's and lyrics were projected on side screens.

The show will run at Beijing's Tianqiao Performance Center until 3 January 2016.
