Hengshan Mountain.the northern Sacred Mountain,rises 10 kilometers south of Hunyuan County, and is famed as “the famous mountain of the strategic importance.
恒山,北方圣山,浑源县以南10公里,是著名的“重要战略要地”。
The mountain consists of two peaks；the Tianfengling on the east and the Cuipingfeng on the west.
山有两座山峰; 天峰岭在东和翠屏峰在西。
The two peaks stand facing each other,and form precipitous natural barrier,where was a place contested by all strategists.
两座山峰站面对面站立,形成险峻的自然屏障,是一个战略必争之地。
The terrain of the mountain is characterized by "parallel lines of mountains”.
山的地形特点是“山的平行线”。

The Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area was inscribed on the first list of major scenic areas and historical sites in the country proclaimed by the State Council.
恒山风景区被国务院规定为第一批国家主要风景区和名胜古迹。
