中民慈善捐助信息中心9月20日发布的《2013年度中国慈善捐助报告》显示，2013年全国接收国内外社会各界的款物捐赠总额约989.42亿元，居近三年来捐赠规模之最，占同年GDP的0.17%；比2012年增加172.09亿元，同比增长21.06%。

北京消息，中国慈善捐款在连续两年下降以后，捐款额于2013年回升至989亿元（约161亿美元），较2012年上涨21.06%。

据民政部（Ministry of Civil Affairs）下属中民慈善捐助信息中心（China Charity and Donation Information Center）发布的报告，我国慈善捐赠总额在2013年出现回升（rebound），分析认为这与国务院放宽了社会组织的登记（relaxation on the registration of social organizations），慈善事业发展的环境转好（a better philanthropy environment），我国经济企稳回升，雅安芦山地震（Lushan earthquake）等自然灾害（natural disaster），以及民众慈善意识的提升（citizens' improved charity awareness）使捐赠量上升有关。
由于包括中国红十字会（Red Cross Society of China）在内的多家慈善组织（charitable organizations）相继爆出丑闻（scandals），这动摇了公众对慈善机构管理捐款（charities' ability to manage donations）的信任（shake the public trust，动摇公众的信任），因此导致2011年和2012年连续两年捐款额出现下跌。
报告表示，2013年捐款总额（total donations）的70%来自企业，其中多数为私人企业（privately own firms）和外资企业（foreign companies）。
相较于（in contrast to）前几年，医疗健康（healthcare）、教育成为了2013年社会捐赠最集中的领域，其中医疗健康领域所接收的捐赠占总额近四成，其中大部分捐赠为药品捐赠（drug donations）和医疗运作资助（medical operation funding）。
报告同时指出，股权捐赠（equity donations）以及网络捐赠（donation through the Internet）成为新趋势。
