2014年7月24日一早，苍南县龙港镇新美洲村发生了一件怪事儿，新美洲内河的河水竟然在一夜之间变成了血红色。

An inner city waterway in the eastern city of Wenzhou was found to have been inundated by an influx of blood-red water this morning.
今天上午，中国东部城市温州市内河水变成了血水。

【讲解】

blood-red water是血水。
当地居民表示，河水在凌晨4点时还是正常的，但是从凌晨6点开始变红（redden），而且马上（in no time）就变成了像血一样的深红色（crimson）。当地村民表示，以前从未发生过这样的事，而且这条河上游（upper stream）也没有化工厂（chemical plant）。
温州市环境保护局的检察员（inspectors）已经赶到现场进行了取样（take samples），将对事件原因（the cause of the incident）进行分析（analyze）。
温州是中国浙江省的知名城市（a well-known town）。这里三面环山（three sides surrounded by mountains），被普遍认为是（is widely regarded as）中国改革开放（opening up）后创业和产业化（entrepreneurship and industrialism）的最好例证（the best example）。
