Local media is reporting the plumbing company where the fire broke out held propane bottles and flammable metals. Air quality workers are heading to the area to test for any possible environmental impact.

More footage appears to barrel bombing in Deraa, followed by what's said to be the aftermath. The U.N. Security Council will likely vote on a draft resolution to boost humanitarian aid in the war-torn country on Friday. But it remains unclear whether Russia and China would support it. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says aid should abide by international humanitarian laws.

The battle for online supremacy between Alibaba, China's largest e-commerce provider, and its main rival, Tencent Holdings, is heating up, and is now crossing into more and more platforms.
Alibaba’s flagship online payment app, Alipay, has nearly 50 percent of the massive Chinese market, as of the third quarter of 2013. But Tencent’s competing app, Tenpay, is gaining ground, with just over 20 percent of the market.
One area where Tencent does have the upper hand, though, is in smartphone messaging. Its app, WeChat, has gained upwards of 300 million active users since it was launched 3 years ago. By contrast, Alibaba’s chat service, Laiwang, has only racked up 10 million users since it going online in September last year.
All this has added to the anticipation for Alibaba’s initial public offering, expected to take place later this year, which could raise up to 140 billion US dollars, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, Tencent’s market cap surpassed 100 billion dollars in 2013.

Hot on the heels of stylish revelry in New York and London, fashionistas the world over are now descending on Italy in search of the latest trends. The 2014 Milan Fashion Week has opened Wednesday with a show by Gucci, giving this shivering winter season a warm touch.
Gucci designer Frida Giannini goes softer in both palate and feel, while sticking with decidedly winter materials like leather and fur.
The colors are cornflower blue, sage green, and brushed pink blush - set off by neutrals in tan, black and camel.
A-line Nappa leather mini-dresses have ruffled fronts - a testament to the suppleness of the materials.
Meanwhile, waistlines are higher and hemlines are short, showing off knee-high leather boots.
Joining Gucci the first day in Milan is Alberta Ferretti, an Italian designer who unveils her latest Autumn-Winter collection.
It features Chiffon-lined jackets, alpaca coats, jackets embroidered with glass beads and skirts decorated with feathers.
"I have to say Italian fabrics are the No.1 in the world, which is testified by many designers. Now some brilliant chinese designers also use Italian in part of their designs, to complete a beautiful collection with good quality," said Mario Boselli, president of Italian Chamber of Fashion.
Milan Fashion Week runs through the weekend and into next week, with more than sixty fashion shows and eighty presentations.
