《小王子》是法国作家安托万·德·圣·埃克苏佩里于1942年写成的著名儿童文学短篇小说。本书的主人公是来自外星球的小王子。书中以一位飞行员作为故事叙述者，讲述了小王子从自己星球出发前往地球的过程中，所经历的各种历险。他以小王子的孩子式的眼光，刻画出成人世界中的各种现象，以及通过小王子和玫瑰的故事，深刻阐释出究竟什么是爱。

爱是一种独一无二的感觉，是一种只存在于两个个体之间的修炼。小王子在他的星球只有玫瑰的时候，玫瑰是他的真爱，因为她是如此美丽，无人能及。而到了地球，有着成千上万的玫瑰，他之前视若珍宝的玫瑰便显得如此平凡无奇。

Good morning, the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.

“Who are you?” asked the little prince, and added, “You are very pretty to look at.”

“It is an act too often neglected,” said the fox. “It means to establish ties.”

“To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world...”
