今天Jessica与她的朋友探讨了如何与陌生人展开话题。
J: How to strike up a conversation with a stranger?
P: That can be hard.... I am usually a shy sort of person and keep to myself, and rarely do that myself. But it depends on where you are. If you are in a place that has nice scenery or something, then you can start by saying something about the scenery or whatever. If you are somewhere and something happens eg. at a bus stop and there is a strange person doing something then you can say something about that.
J: What do people usually say if they want to start a conversation with a stranger?
P:Just a general comment on that they are looking at or about what is on around them. Another way I have struck up conversations with people is when they have been lost and looking for somewhere. Then I have helped them to look for the place and talked to them asking where they are from, etc.
