Now, let us begin Part B with the first passage.

Passage 1

合作与交流应当是双向的。我认为，我们应当处理好竞争与合作的关系。合作比竞争更为有利。//

然而，我们注意到中国对海外的报道与西方媒体对中国的报道，两者之间存在明显的失衡。//

在中国，人们能够观看有关国外的各种报道，而在西方国家，人们很少看到正面报道关于中国经济发展和社会进步方面的节目。//

我认为产生这一现象有多种原因。但是我相信，通过加强合作与交流，这种不平衡的状况终将得到改变。

【答案】

Cooperation and exchanges should be two-way. We believe that we should handle well the relationship between competition and cooperation. Cooperation can be more advantageous than competition.

However, (as we have noticed/as we are aware, ) there is a marked imbalance between China's report on foreign countries and the reports on China by western media.//

In China, people can watch different programs about foreign countries. But you can find very few positive programs about China's economic development and social progress in western countries.//

I think that there are many reasons for this phenomenon. But I believe that enhanced cooperation and exchanges can eventually change this unbalanced situation.
