梦与诗

It's nothing but ordinary experience,
都是平常经验，
And ordinary pictures and visions,
都是平常影像，
That happen to arrive in a dream,
偶然涌到梦中来，
And turn to wondrous forms!
变幻出多少新奇花样！
It's nothing but ordinary sentiments,
都是平常情感，
And ordinary words and sentences,
都是平常言语，
That happen to be uttered by a poet,
偶然碰着个诗人，
And turn to wondrous verses!
变幻出多少新奇诗句！
Having been drunk, you'll know the powerfulness of wine;
醉过才知酒浓，
Having loved, you'll know the seriousness of love:
爱过才知情重：——
You can never write my poems,
你不能做我的诗，
As I can never dream your dreams.
正如我不能做你的梦。
