　　本题要求描述一门除了英语和普通话以外的语言，即我们所说的小语种，如果光从“语言”角度出发，是比较空洞的，我们考生要做到的就是把比较抽象的概念换成具体的概念来阐述，这个思路是贯穿整个雅思口语考试的始终的，不论是part1(可能较少出现抽象题型)，part2(偶尔会有比较难描述的内容)，还是part3(基本上都是抽象又有深度的问题)，我们都应该把答题的方向落实到实处。

　　小语种这个话题，其实说哪种语言都是差不多的，日语的话可以和自己喜欢的动漫(favorite TV program)等联系起来，法语可以联系喜欢的法国电影(favorite movie)，或者名人(CoCo Chanel, Luc Besson 等名人)，亦或是建筑(historical building, such as Eiffel Tower, Chateau de Versailles, etc.)，其实说白了就是一道抽象的“物品题”，运用联想法，把之前准备过的内容进行合理的套用， 充分利用好两分钟的 时间，给考官一个最好的印象。

　　Well, I guess the language I’d like to describe today is French. It is said to be the most beautiful language in the world, and I’m really fascinated by French. When I was in secondary high school, I watched a movie called Amelie. Basically it tells a story about a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou, who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while still struggling with her own isolation. In this typical French movie, I found colorful scenery of the city, which is totally amazing to me. What’s more, when the actors and actresses started to talk in the movie, the language sounds so attractive and I suddenly fell in love with it.

　　Since that moment, I have been dreaming about studying in France someday in the future. So I decided to take some part time French courses. And my parents also support me pretty much because they believe it is not enough to speak English and speaking French can help me to live a better life in the near future. So I’ve been learning French for about 5 years and now I can use French as a communication tool so it’s not a problem for me to talk with my French friends.

　　As far as I am concerned, French will become more and more popular in the next 20 years and I’m so proud that I can speak both English and French. So basically that’s the reason why I like French.

　　Plant的话题出现在part 2当中是一道彻底的新题。但根据()内提示，这个plant可以说fruits, flowers, vegetables 等等任何植物，其实flowers 的话题在part 1中是曾经出现过的，所以准备过flower的同学完全可以把part 1准备的内容拿到part 2来继续用。

　　其实这道题并不难，如果你说的是一种fruit，除了基本的外形特点描述，以及为什么喜欢这种水果，还可以说一点水果中丰富的维生素及营养，多吃它有什么好处，并与健康饮食相结合来说。如果想说flower，可以说说这种花有什么特殊的象征意义，一般人种这种花或者送这种花的目的是什么，什么样的场合适宜送这种花，或者说这个花对你有什么特殊意思，看到这种花想到了什么人什么事。如果想描述一个vegetable，可以和cooking做结合，这种蔬菜有什么营养成分，适合做什么菜，人吃了又什么好处，能力强的同学还可以简单描述下做这道菜的过程。

　　Well, speaking of an important plant in my country, I suppose I'd like to talk about a significant flower called Jasmine. It is a kind of small and white flower which gives off a rich and pleasant perfume. You know, without any showy sharp or color like pony and rose, the Jasmine blossom is small and plain. Despite of that, the fragrance is curiously heavy and persistent, and that is probably the reason why so many people would like to grow this flower in their gardens. What's more, it represents the everlasting and faithful love. So, young people also prefer sending jasmines to their boyfriends or girlfriends to express their love.

　　I am pretty fond of Jasmine not only because its fresh perfume, but also it is the city flower of my hometown Yangzhou, which is well-known for its typical Southern Chinese river-side scenery featured by small bridges, murmuring streams and elegant dwellings. The impression of the whole city is just like jasmine, small but exquisite. What's more, in summer, the whole city is filled with fragrance of jasmine. So, this kind of gorgeous landscape and the fresh perfume will always linger in your mind if you have ever travelled to this city.

　　In addition, Jasmine is not only the symbol of the single city or district at present, it also symbolize China, the whole nation. In 2008, Beijing Olympic Games, on behalf of Chinese traditional culture, the folk song named Jasmine was broadcast in the opening ceremony. As the media of cultural communication, I guess most international friends will be reminded of the fabulous opening ceremony and Chinese civilization as soon as they hear the song.
