Exercise 3 Listen to six people talking.

Try to identify their accents.

I come from "Down Under" and my country's a very different kind of place from what a lot of people think.
I mean, British people immediately think of the outback and kangaroos. I come from up North and It's semi-tropical
we've even got tropical rainforests.

I live in the third largest country in the world with a population of about 1.26 billion. I'm very lucky to live in the capital city the political, economic and cultural centerof the country.Foreign visitors who stay here can visit some amazing places including The Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and of course,the Great Wall.

I've been over to Britain a few times and nobody has trouble understanding me. But what's amazing is the number of differentaccents in such a small country as Britain. My country, as you know,is really big, but there are only really three or four different accents.
