【用】词组warn sb. of sth.是“警告、提醒某人某事”的意思。

【辨】warn, caution, forewarn三个词都有“警告”的意思。warn最为常用，指及时通知使某人警觉；caution表示警告某人小心，如：I cautioned her not to be late.；forewarn强调事先通知。

【用】confront常用的形式是be confronted with，与confront是一个意思。
