Chinese authorities have raised the emergency response for flood control to the second-highest level, as heavy downpours continued to lash the province of Henan.
Extremely heavy rainfall hit Henan on Tuesday, with precipitation in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, exceeding the highest level on local weather records.
Death toll from heavy downpours in Henan rose to at least 25 on Wednesday.
Seven people remain missing, and over 1.2 million people were affected by the disaster.

The central authorities have sent a working team to the affected areas in Henan to help local authorities with disaster relief work.
China's national observatory on Wednesday morning renewed an orange alert for rainstorms, the second-highest alert.
From Wednesday to Thursday morning, heavy rains and rainstorms will continue in Henan and its neighboring provinces.
A team of volunteers from the Beijing-based organization Blue Sky Rescue are heading to Henan to assist with local efforts.
Their captain, Chen Haijun, said dozens of their members volunteered for the task on Wednesday morning.
They selected eight of the most-experienced members to deal with the unprecedented flood situation in Henan Province.
"Rescue in water, including floods, is very dangerous. We need the rescuers to be experienced, physically strong, and able to properly handle emergencies. We selected eight volunteers, all of whom are required to operate rubber assault boats independently. The boats will be of great use in transferring residents and their property."
The team has brought a boat, life vests, and other rescue supplies. After arriving in Zhengzhou, they will join other rescue teams there.
Seventeen airport workers in the Chinese city of Nanjing have tested positive for COVID-19, causing massive flight cancellations and delays.
Nine of the workers have been diagnosed as confirmed cases and five as asymptomatic carriers. The remaining three are awaiting further diagnosis.
Local health authorities found the positive results during routine nucleic acid testing for airport staff.
