The verb Wish has many uses, but the main use is when the speaker wants reality to be different.
动词Wish有许多用法，但主要用法是说话者想让现实有所不同g9sylMM,47。

When you are talking about regrets about the past,
当你谈论对过去的遗憾时，
you can use Wish with the past perfect.
可以用Wish+过去完成时Ac=]l98N#=b#x。
Wish+(That)+Past perfect.
即Wish+(That)+过去完成时C*FwzIMH[2#DO!GU6;*。
You can leave out the word That if you want to.
如果你想，可以省略That(99|V_]&Vp。
I wish (that) I had studied harder at school.

I wish (that) Sam had come with me on the trip.

I wish you hadn't told me how the film ends.

To use Wish about the present, you can use the simple past.
要表示现在的愿望，你可以用一般现在时XfShPHR~p.Y!QzyArP&。
I wish I knew a second language.
我希望自己知道第二种语言1urK^#-;_@。
I wish I lived in Paris.
我希望我住在巴黎P,I*N7EtvE9caHKK)fx。
I wish it wasn't so cold.

But before we go, it's important to remember one thing.

From all the many uses of wish, in formal speaking and writing,

you use the subjunctive form were...not Was after Wish.

So you wouldn't say, I wish I was taller.
所以你不应该说“I wish I was taller”，
But I wish I were taller.
