USED TO followed by a verb is a regular verb and describes something that happened in the past but does not happen anymore.
USED TO后面接动词时是规则动词，用于描述过去发生但现在不再发生的事。
Mike used to travel a lot.
迈克过去常去旅行。
He used to go to school in New York.
他过去在纽约上学。
I used to swim on the swim team.
我过去在游泳队游泳。
USED TO can describe an instrument that is utilized for a certain purpose.
USED TO用来描述用于某一目的的工具。
In this case, USED TO is also passive.
这种情况下，USED TO也是被动的。
Flour, sugar and eggs are used to make cake.
面粉、糖和鸡蛋是用来做蛋糕的。
Medicine is used to treat illness.
医学用于治疗疾病。
A basket is used to carry groceries.
篮子用来运送杂货。
And the last way to use USED TO is by describing something you are accustomed to, or something that is normal for you.

I am used to living here.

I am used to studying all night.

She is used to going to the gym in the morning.
