Chinese authorities are now making it easier for online shoppers to return goods they don't want. That's according to a statement from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

The administration says new regulations will allow online shoppers to return purchases within seven days with no reason needed.

In addition, the new regulations require that all online vendors must register with the government and display their company information on the home pages of the online shops they supply.

All third-party operators, including online payment platforms, are now also required to establish clear rules to ensure transparency and transaction safety. The new law takes effect on March 15, the same day as global Consumer Rights Day.
