MR SINCLAIR:

ROSS:
I'm very sorry, Mr Sinclair. I'll try to get up earlier.
此外,Ross还老闯祸。在广播里,可以听到他每次闯祸以后怎样向Sinclaiy先生道歉。

APOLOGIZING 道歉
1. MAKING APOLOGIES 向别人道歉
表示道歉的说法很多,大都要用sorry一词:
Sorry.
Oh,sorry!
I'm sorry.
I'm very sorry/awfully sorry/so sorry/I am sorry.(这几个说法,要求比较重)
Sorry I'm late.( 说明道歉的原因)
在比较正式或比较严肃的场合道歉,就不用sorry,而用名词apology,或用动词apologize.例如:
I have AN APOLOGY to make.
I haven't finished the job yet.
这样说,下面紧跟着就要解释,为什么要道歉. I have 有时可以代之以I've got.
I must APOLOGIZE FOR the delay.
I must APOLOGIZE FOR beING late.
(For 后面要接名词,例如the delay,或者接-ing 形式的动词.)
2. ACCEPTING APOLOGIZES 接受别人的道歉
别人道歉,我们通常是不拒绝的.接受别人的道歉,说法很简单:
That's O.K./That's all right.
NOt to worry (= there's no need to worry).
It doesn't matter.
Forget it. (意思是:这件事就算过去算了,继续做别的事吧.也表示有些不高兴.)
No problem.
这些都是英语口语中常用的说法.
