A new subway line specifically for the Beijing Olympics
is now under trial operation.

With 4.4 kilometers of track, the new line stops at both the Olympic Sports Center and the Olympic Park. It will be the main form of public transport for audiences and athletes alike during the Games.

Images of blue-white Chinese porcelain and Beijing's ancient city walls, as well as pictures of various sporting items, serve as decor. The subway station at the Olympic Park resembles a miniaturized version of the Water Cube, the Olympic competition venue for swimming events.
