BOCOG announced Friday afternoon that the city will follow international practice to enact traffic control during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. From July 20th to September 20th, vehicles with even-numbered license plates can use roads only on even-numbered dates, and the same goes for those with odd-numbered license plates on odd-numbered dates. Vehicles with customized license plates will follow the same regulations as those with even numbered plates. Construction vehicles and those carrying dangerous chemicals are banned from the roads during those two months.

The regulations will also be applied to vehicles from other provinces and regions. Trucks, tractors, motorized tricycles, motorcycles, and vehicles carrying dangerous chemicals from other provinces and regions are banned from the roads starting July 1st to September 20th.

July 20 - Sept. 20 Vehicles with even numbered license plates and those with customized license plates can use roads on even numbered dates. Vehicles with odd numbered license plates can use roads on odd numbered dates.
