Over 2-thousand robots, including industrial robots, service robots and specialist robots, are on display at the three-day event.

Qu Daokui, director-general of the China Robot Industry Alliance, says humans should make good use of robots but also be aware of their negative effects. "Now we think that technology is a double-edged sword. On one hand, we should let robots contribute to social development. On the other hand, we should reduce their negative effects to a minimum."

Service robots have been popular at the show.
