Indian government is preparing to seek damages from Nestle after a food scare involving excessive lead in its hugely popular Maggi noodles sparked a nationwide recall, an official said on Monday.
在印度极受欢迎的雀巢美极面条因铅含量超标，引发食品安全恐慌，已在全印度启动召回程序。对此，一名印度官员8日称，印政府将向雀巢公司索赔。

The minimum amount that could be sought was 10m rupees (RMB970,000).
最小索赔金额或达1000万卢比(约合97万元人民币)。
Nestle has been selling its Maggi brand for over three decades in India, and has 80% of the country's instant noodle market.

Indian food authority banned Nestle on Friday from making and selling the noodles after tests by some states found lead levels above statutory limits.
因若干印度邦检出美极面条含铅量高出法定限值，印度食品部门5日起禁止雀巢生产和销售该面条。
Nestle global chief executive Paul Bulcke said on Friday its noodles were "safe for consumption".
