A loving husband headed to a California In-N-Out Burger last week for a date with his wife, who died five years ago. He propped up a framed photo of his love and enjoyed a burger with his late sweetheart.

Twitter user Madina Bashizadah snapped a photo of the date.

"Oh my god I just died!!! He has a picture of his wife with him as he eats! I love him I love love," she wrote.

Bashizadah then got up to ask him about the photo, she told the Huffington Post.

"We found out that she was his sweetheart, his wife who passed away five years ago," she said.

The two met when they were 17 years old — just before he went to war. They lost contact, but he never stopped thinking about her.

Ten years later he told his story of lost love to a barber in California. The barber through the story sounded familiar, so he called his daughter — who immediately recognized the man as the war-bound solider she met a decade ago.
