高发季节 high-occurrence season

自从进入秋冬季以来，国内甲流病例急剧增多。近日国务院副总理李克强来到中国药品生物制品检定所，考察甲型H1N1流感疫苗的研发与检验工作，并在现场召开了应对甲型流感联防联控机制工作会议。

李（克强）指出，秋冬季是流感的高发季节，他敦促权威部门改进疾病防御和治疗能力，阻止疾病在全国迅速传播。

在上面的报道中，high-occurrence season就是“高发季节”。Occurrence的意思是“发生，出现，发生的事情”。例如：an event of rare occurrence（不常发生的事情）；Newspapers record the chief occurrences of the day.（报纸刊载每天的大事。）

下了几场大雪后，人们渐渐感觉到冬日的寒意，还好现在已进入了heating season（供暖季）。天气转冷，人们更愿意待在家里看电视，美剧迷们可以关注下新出的剧集，因为美国每年秋冬季都是很多电视剧的debut season（首映季）。再过一个月，就会进入Christmas shopping season（圣诞购物季）。冬季也是flu season（流感多发季），所以还是应该注意保暖和卫生，以防病毒入侵。
