Israel's Warning To UK On Relations With Iran

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu urges Britain not to be "duped" by Iran's recent "charm offensive" in an interview with Sky News.

It's a British decision but I hope that in exploring this, they will insist that Iran dismantle its nuclear weapon's program. That will be a good insistance as well as asking him to stop calling for the violation of Israel, member sate of the United Nations. What they've done is to use the negotiations not really to buy time but to advance their program. Why should the sanction by lifted? See, you've got a situation right now where Iran is on the ropes. They are on the ropes. Their economy is about to collapse, but they've also used that time to get very close to threshold status, to be able to produce enough fissile material for the core of atomic bombs. That's the heart part of making atomic bombs. Now you've got them. They are in the tough round in a boxing match, and they are saying they are the ropes and instead of growling, they are smiling. And you are supposed to let them rise from the ropes and continue to make atomic bombs.

But nobody is talking about taking the pressure offf Iran. What they are talking about is warming relation, surely that's a step forward. Are you in danger of appearing almost petulant and belligerant at the time being out of the step with the rest of the world.

No. Of course not.I was accused of being petulant and belligerant at the time when the air spreads two years ago. And I said it's not quite what you think it's gonna be. They may hold that Islamist tide will sweep all the hope for democracy. The time that they said it to me, I'm out of state, but I'm not petulant or so. Well I think people realize now that I was good, they also realize I am good now.
