Russian Civilians Join Raids On Migrant Camps
Citizens in Russia can now take part in raids on migrant camps and homes in a drive to clamp down on illegal immigration.

随着全球化进程的加快,越来越多的海外移民进入俄罗斯。为妥善解决日益严重的非法移民问题,俄总统普京签署刑法修正案,加大对非法移民组织者的惩处力度。俄普通民众也加入打击队伍!

Standing in his underwear, the man is told to get dressed and get outside. But these are not police. They are civic-minded volunteers giving up their time to help round up suspected migrant workers. They are not new Nazis or right wing extremists. They are reasonable educated Russians who genuinely believe these people have no place in their country.

Some of these men are from security forces, but the rest are all civilian volunteers. They say they are here enforcing order in their country and that tells you everything you need to know about the attitude to migrant workers in Russia.

There are so much stuff going on, they are stealing, raping, right there in the parks.
99% of the crime is caused from immigrants from the East and the Caucasus.

The camp they are raiding is a little more than a shanty home. They are living in these ramshackle shelters in the depth of the Russian winter. But where some might see poverty and desperation, they seem to see only potential criminals.

And this is the other end of that scale, this mobile phone footage shows a raid on a Russian shop last year. The charity that recorded it says the stuff, all migrant workers, were being kept as slaves. One clip appears to show children being driven away in a car.

Becky was freed in that raid along with her six year old son; she says his growth has been stunted by malnutrition, his legs damaged by being tied to a radiator. She also has a daughter; Camilla who she says was taken away from her shortly after the birth. She has tried repeatedly to report her daughter missing, but still no one is looking for her. Well she thinks that’s because the color of her skin.

Thank god, my son is with me, even though he’s disabled, my daughter, if they don’t want to do this, I’ll go and look for her myself. Becky shows us where she was beaten, all her fingers were broken. She doesn’t want to leave without finding her daughter, she says it’s very clear they are no welcome here.
