小华：小红，你能猜到中国的哪个地区在八月开始下雪吗?

Xiaohong：Are you pulling my leg？It's super hot now.

小红：开玩笑吗？现在巨热！

Xiaohua：Our country is really big. Many mountainous areas in the Altay region of Xinjiang began to snow for the first time after fall.

Xiaohong：Wow, that's terrific! I can feel the cold.

Xiaohua：It's around 20 degrees centigrade during the day, but it dropped to minus 4 degrees at night.

Xiaohua：The thickness of snowfall in some areas exceeded 10cm, according to CCTV news.

小华：据央视新闻报道，一些地区的降雪厚度超过了10厘米。

Xiaohong：I really want to go there to experience the cold. Do you want to go there with me?

小红：我真的很想去那里体验一下寒冷。你想和我一起去吗?

Xiaohua：No. Because of the COVID-19 policy. There's nowhere for us to go.

小华：不想。因为疫情防控，哪儿都去不了。
