Diana: We all know that red is worn on weddings in China, but for the Akan people in West Africa, they dress in red on funerals beside black and brown. In contrast, they dress in white for joyous occasions.

Diana: But that's not the whole story. Green, being the color of plants, is a symbol of life in Africa as well in many other places.
