Matilda: I just can't believe how bullying has come to the forefront of our society's problems. It's splashed all over the paper today in the Living Section.

Just look at this story in our neighborhood?athis poor girl is probably scarred for life!

Janet: Are you referring to that cyberbullying case that's been on the news this week? Yeah, the Internet has opened up a whole new can of worms as far as bullying goes.

And with smart phones, attackers can lash out at people at any time and any place without being obvious. What does it say?

Matilda: It says that a mom went through her daughter's cell phone and found over 60 demeaning messages.
Some girl in a higher grade had Photoshopped some embarrassing pictures of the daughter and put them up on her Twitter account, and the whole school was commenting on them.

Janet: I'm sure being victimized like that at such a young age has just crushed her self-esteem.
