Unit 31 Cut down on sugar.

Unit 31

Does chocolate make you blissful? You’re not crazy, you’re simply responding to a natural pleasure chemical produced when you eat sweets. This chemical speeds to your brain, making you happy and leaving you with a craving for more.

Not that sugar is all bad. Sugar, after all, is a simple carbohydrate that’s present in fruits and other foods. It's also available in a zillion concentrated forms, from cakes to candy. And it does a great job of providing quick energy. Athletes may grab a candy bar before the big race to help them across the finish line. But most of us eat sugar for much less Olympian feats-like to get through the afternoon at work. Unused energy from sweets turns into fat in your body.
