雅思口语里最近大热的题目之一是a time when someone made a noise。
I’m now living off campus because I had this unbearable self-centered roommate who would play video games all night long and made it impossible for me to rest. She's a huge fan of LOL, which is rare for girls, 'cause generally only boys would be so obsessed with this game. She's the only girl I know who's crazy about it. As far as I know, she basically spends all her waking hours and all of her money on the game. Anyway, her fingers are incredibly flexible, which would make disturbing noises when she clicks the mouse or presses the keyboard. And when she plays, she doesn't do it alone. She's in a team online with her high school classmates and her boyfriend. And you know how this game works. They need to discuss the strategy with each other to win the battle, so we always hear her screaming to the microphone "Run faster, cover me, protect the tower." And the worst part is, when they lose the game, she would get extremely furious, and pounds her desk real hard. We've put up with her for a long time, ‘cause we didn’t want any bad feelings between us. But a couple of months ago, during our final exam, she still kept doing it, making intolerable noises. Everyone was exhausted after a long day's study, so we desperately needed a good sleep. We couldn’t stand it any longer, so the rest of us basically yelled at her at the same time, “Would you stop it already or at least keep it down!” But she didn't react as if she didn't hear us at all. So we decided it's time to move out.
