The Road to Success
As a child, Wang Junyan never dreamed of becoming a famous TV personality. "I never thought about going on TV, because my family didn't even have one until I was in high school!" she explained. Now Wang Junyan is the anchor for Universe TV's news programs. I asked her how she had achieved success, and she told me that curiosity, perseverance, and a commitment to truth, made her the success she is today. It was my mother that taught me to be curious. She had a great love of nature, and she taught me to be interested in plants and insects," she told me. "We would turn over stones, and look at the little creatures that crawled away. I loved doing that," remembered Wang. She said, "My mother was a strong character. Although life was not easy for her, she never complained and was full of determination. She worked extremely hard to support me through school and my time at Fudan University in Shanghai. Her attitude towards life and truth will never stop influencing my thoughts and actions."
