Notting Hill carnival held in London

　　The Notting Hill carnival is held in London, the host city of the next summer Olympic Games, Aug. 24, 2008. The carnival with its theme of "welcome the world " showcases London's culture with diversity to hold the Olympics in 2012.

　24日正值北京奥运会闭幕及向伦敦移交奥林匹克会旗的特殊时刻，本届狂欢节推出了“欢迎世界”的主题，展示伦敦作为多元文化大都市，已经准备好接过北京的接力棒，举办2012年夏季奥运会。
