1.grand adj.壮大的，堂皇的；主要的，重要的；伟大的
【例】The Spring Festival always appears to be grand.
春节总是显得格外隆重。
【用】grand一般指“庄严的，气势磅礴的”，表示对美丽事物的感受。

2.economical adj.节俭的，经济的，精打细算的
【记】词根记忆：eco(家)+nom(管理)+i+cal（的）--管理家庭财务的--经济的
【例】There was a need for him to be economical, for he has planned to buy many things.
他需要节省，因为他计划好要买很多东西。
【辨】economical, economic，economical有“节约的，省俭的”意思，指在金钱或物品上精打细算；economic指“经济上的；经济学的”。
