1.gravity n.重力，引力；重要性，严重性
【记】词根记忆：grav(重)+ity(表性质)一重力；严重性
【例】The craft will use solar electric propulsionto escape Earth's gravity.

2.tend v．倾向，趋于；照管 n.照管者，照料砉
【例】Nowadays young people tend to phone more often than write to each other.
现在的年轻人更倾向于打电话而非写信。(2004)
【派】tendency(n.倾向，趋势)；tender(adj.嫩的，柔软的；脆弱的,纤弱的；敏感的，易受伤的；温和的，亲切的)
【辨】tend,incline
两个词都有“倾向”的意思。tend主语为人或物，结构为tend to do sth.；incline更多用于被动语态，常用词组是bc inclined to do sth.。

3.bull n．公牛adj.公的；哄抬价格的，行情上涨的 v．强行（使）……通过;从事投机使（证券等)价格上涨

5.owe v.欠;把…归功于

【用】owe一般与to构成搭配，表示“欠钱；把…归功于”；另外，词组owing to表示“由于”，

6.alter v.变动

【例】Landscape changes may alter climate.
地形的变化可能会改变气候。

7.loading adj,领导的：主要的;首位的，前列的
【例】This new pnnter is compatible with allltading software.
这种新打印机兼容所有的主流软件。

8.tumover n.（一定时期的）营业额;（商店的）货物周转率；人事变动率
【记】来自词组tum over（营业顿达到…）
【例】The manager made a profit of $5,000 0n a turnover of $,55,000.
这位经理从55000美元营业额中获利5000美元。
The company tried its best to lower down the tumover.
