Chinese President Xi Jinping has required better education to ensure all-round development of the country's youths, calling on the young people to become the backbone of the nation.
He made the remarks while visiting a middle school in Suide, Shaanxi Province.
Earlier during his inspection tour in the province, the president stressed that the development of China's energy industry should follow a green and low-carbon path.
The president says efforts should be conducive to peaking carbon dioxide emissions and achieving carbon neutrality without straining resources, energy and environmental capacity.
He also says the development of the coal industry should be transformed and upgraded.
