Selected staff of your company are to receive a questionnaire requesting feedback on their views about the company. Use the following notice to write a letter to the selected members of staff who will receive the questionnaire. You should state the purpose of issuing the questionnaire, then say how staff opinions count. Your letter should also include the information in the notice below.

IT'S YOUR OPINION THAT COUNTS EVEN IF YOU GAVE IT LAST TIME

· Talkback Two is on its way with July pay-slips.
· Since Talkback One, staff views have found their way into action plans throughout the company.

· Things are happening as a result of your feedback.
· There is to be greater emphasis on career development. This was already in the ipeline, but the Talkback results confirmed this was definitely needed.
· If you receive a questionnaire, please take time to complete it. It should take less than half an hour.

Everyone's opinion counts!
Please give yours! TALKBACK TWO
Be constructive in your suggestions!

Start your letter with Dear Staff Member,

Note: Since you start with the salutation, the parts of the letter above it, such as the address and date, are omitted for you, but you still have to make sure that the rest of the letter follows the letter format properly.

You should write about 150 words. Write the answer on your answer sheet.

Dear Member of Staff

Following our successful questionnaire Talkback One, we are beginning our Talkback Two, a useful means to give management valuable feedback on your views about our company. You win receive it together with your July payslip.

A number of action plans have been worked Out since Talkback One. An example is the company giving greater emphasis to career development. The Talkback results confirmed this was definitely needed. As a result, a new career development programme came into practice in May (even though this was already envisaged some time ago). The company is giving you a chance to have your say. Take it! Confidentiality is guaranteed. The questionnaire does not require your name. All opinions count. Please make sure you give yours, even if you gave it last time.

If you receive a questionnaire, please take time to complete it - it should take no more than half an hour. Please bear in mind that the greater the response the more representative the results will be. These results it is hoped will enable changes to be made that will ultimately benefit you in the long term!

We look forward to your constructive suggestions.
